TESDA Marinduque Joins Regional Kick-off on Synchronous Competency Assessment for SHS Graduates
TESDA Marinduque headed by Provincial Director Zoraida V. Amper, joined the Regional Kick-off on Synchronous Competency Assessment for Senior High School (SHS) specifically those belonged to the Technical Vocational and Livelihood (TVL) track graduates held at Torrijos Poblacion School of Arts and Trade (TPSAT) last April 29, 2024.
It was conducted simultaneously to the five (5) provinces in MIMAROPA via Zoom. TESDA MIMAROPA in partnership with the Department of Education (Dep Ed) led the activity. Ms. Janet M. Abasolo, Executive Director of Certification Office graced the event. Regional Director of Dep Ed, Dir. Nicolas T. Capulong and Dir. Angelina M. Carreon of TESDA MIMAROPA gave their messages after signing of Memorandum of Agreement between agencies.
Mrs. Ma. Lourdes Rosales, TVL Coordinator of Poctoy National High School represented their Principal, Ms. Cherry Ann Del Mundo-Jalos who accompanied the 12 candidates for assessment in Bread and Pastry Production NC II. Ms. Teresita A. Ferrer represented Ms. Rosarie R. Paras in the occasion. Also present were Mr. Erwin M. Bunag, TESDA PO Marinduque Supervising TESD Specialist. TPSAT personnel attended were Ms. Jhenevie F. De Luna, Assessment and Certification Focal, Mr. Loverel Rejano, Competency Assessor, and Mr. Isabelo L. Malilay, TESDA Representative. They were assisted by Mr. Jazzer A. Loto, the TPSAT Information Officer and Mr. John Greg R. Rabe the information Technology Focal of BSAT.
TESDA MARINDUQUE Receives Commendation from DILG
TESDA Marinduque received Certificate of Commendation from the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) in the ceremony Honoring Outstanding and Notable Organizations Responsive to Service (HONORS) held last April 25, 2024 at Rojaz Events Place, Brgy. Santol, Boac, Marinduque.
The award was given for being an active Multi-Stakeholder Advisory Committee partner of the DILG on the implementation of their programs and activities aimed to nurture and elevate the capacities and performance of the Local Government Units (LGUs), specifically in conducting training and certifying the Sangguniang Kabataan Treasurers in the province.
MOA Inked Between and Among Agencies in Marinduque Against Illegal Recruitment and Trafficking in Person
Convergence Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between and among different agencies and Local Government Units of Marinduque was signed last April 23, 2024 at Governor’s Hall, Capitol Compound, Brgy. Bangbangalon, Boac, Marinduque. The MOA signifies the support of the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW), Overseas Workers and Welfare Office (OWWA), Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) and all the six (6) municipalities and Provincial government of Marinduque in the fight against illegal recruitment and trafficking in person.
DMW Assistant Secretary Levinson C. Alcantara together with the DMW Acting Regional Director Jonathan A. Gerodias and OWWA Director Geraldine C. Mendez led the activity. Provincial Director Zoraida V. Amper, represented TESDA Regional Director Angelina M. Carreon in the MOA signing. After the MOA signing, each of the agencies presented their programs and services that can be availed of by the returning overseas workers and migrant workers.
